Veteran’s Club Meeting Minutes, March 9, 2023 The Meeting opened at 4:00PM with the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 21 members present. Vice President Howard Berger presided over the meeting. The secretary indicated that the minutes of the previous meeting had been posted to the Veteran’s Website. A motion was made to accept and seconded to accept the minutes. The treasurer’s report was given by Steve Rosenthal who indicated that there was a bank balance of$4,512. He said that 34 people had registered for the barbecue, and that the Car Show had brought in $1,550.00 and the Buick dealer donated $2,500 to the club. The Feb. dance cost $450.00. Mike Heiserman indicated that there were 83f registrations to date for the upcoming car show. There were to be 65 trophies which cost $2,000. He also arranged for the DJ, Ray and the Rayettes and as food truck. The Saturday April 4th barbecue will be catered bfy Lucilles. The presentation by Howard Beck followed. He presented an interesting history of the Tuskeegee Airmen who conducted themselves with courage and valor during World War ll, against many obstacle including marked racism and bigotry.
