Veteran's Club BOD Meeting Minutes March 30, 2023

The Board of Director’s meeting was opened at 4:00 PM and called to order by President Goody Morrison. The following members were present: Dennis Flier, Steve Rosenberg, David Cohen, Mike Heiserman, Howard Berger and Cal Hunter. The secretary’s report was next on the agenda and it was indicated that the minutes of the last board meeting were posted on the club’s website. Dennis Flier made a motion to accept the minutes and this was seconded by Steve Rosenberg. The members voted to approve. The treasurer’s report followed with Steve Rosenberg. He announced that the club’s balance was $4,883 and the pending barbecue raised $2,380 resulting in balance $7,263.the car show raised $5,300 and a donation was made to the WVRF in the amount of $3,432. Mike Heiserman reported that the car show registered 140 cars, 3 corvette clubs and was a huge success. He indicated that he needed more volunteers for the next show, Howard Berger suggested expanding the car show in the future to entertain more auto clubs and perhaps other car dealers. This was to be open for further discussion. Goody reported that the blood drive netted 27 pints and 4 platelet donations, and was considered a success. The next blood drive will take place on Nov.17 and there will be new membership forms available on the website. A discussion of the upcoming barbecue followed. Goody indicated that Fred Paul would be picking up the food from Lucille’s which would be stored in the new hot box recently acquired for the community. The DJ would be secured at a cost of $250, and there would also be a supply of water and soft drinks. In addition, two women would be hired to help as servers. The meeting was adjourned at 5:00PM.
