November 18, General Meeting minutes

Veteran’s Club Membership Meeting, November 18, 2021

 

The meeting was called to order by President Jules Harper at 4:00 P.M. and the pledge of allegiance to the flag was recited.

There were 24 members in attendance.

The secretary announced that the minutes of the previous meeting had been posted to the club’s website.  Motion to accept the minutes was made by Howard Berger and seconded by Steve Alper. The motion was approved.

President Harper indicated that he had access to the boat donated by Earl Stewart and would present it for auction or fixed price for one day charter next year. 

The 50/50 raffle was next held and yielded $50.00 to the club.

The election of club officers will be held on Sunday, December 12 at 10.00 A.M. The slate of candidates includes the following:

 The president announced that as of this date, $125,000 has been donated to the Veterans Relief Fund.  He also indicated that an e-mail will be generated to enable membership voting for the upcoming election.

Mike Heiserman detailed the events and emotional responses of the Honor Flight homecoming which included Tom Wood as an attendee.

He then announced the upcoming car show on March 22, 2022. He was in touch with the Buick dealer with whom he discussed the details of the event. It was also announced that there will be an Air Force Show in Ft. Lauderdale in May, details of which will be announced at a later date.
